Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has a significant adjunctive effect in the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), however its use as monotherapy group-based approaches is less explored. We assessed responses distinct psychophysiological domains after CBT (gCBT, 16 weeks) intervention drug-free patients with mild-moderate MDD (n = 20; women 11) and compared them healthy control group 25, 13). The resulted 65% response 55% remission rates. Significant reductions depressive anxiety symptoms increase self-esteem sleep quality were observed gCBT responses. Moreover, treatment, regulated their previously deregulated salivary cortisol awakening toward parameters. These improvements correlated among themselves dependent outcome. Remitted showed larger than non-remitted for all domains, except serum that significantly changed only no-remitted but did not reached controls levels. Further, better baseline was predictor remission. changes found support MDD, corroborate importance observation theirs whole sociopsychophysiological condition since they are related to outcome then stimulate further studies validation clinical protocols work on these studied.
